Two Children Playing
The miniature car, the hat on the child in the car, the shadow of the photographer, the DELICATESSEN & LUNCH window lettering, and -- best of all -- the blurred friend on the bicycle.
Lost & Found Photos is the companion blog to the Camera Obscura blog. Lost & Found Photos is my personal gallery of vintage photos. All of the photos in this gallery move me for one reason or another. It is my small space on the web where I can curate a gallery of my favorite photos from my collection. ~*~ Camera Obscura is my Etsy.com shop where I sell reproductions of the most exquisite photos in my collection. (To learn more about my shop, read the next sidebar section, below.) While the images in this blog are not sold as reproductions in my shop, should you see an image of which you would like a reproduction, please contact me. At the Camera Obscura blog, you can see posts of all images available in my shop with detailed information, and link directly to the shop from there. ~*~ If you have any guesses as to dates and locations that I have noted as "unknown," please leave a comment!
about Camera Obscura
I own an extensive collection of beautiful vintage photographs. As an artist myself, I often hesitate to use the original photographs, because once they're gone, they're gone for good. I treasure them too much to part with them.~*~ Often the originals are so aged and delicate that they’re brittle, torn or tearing, warped or stiff, or in an otherwise distressed condition -- and as a result, just too difficult to work with. ~*~Camera Obscura's goal is to supply high-quality, professionally printed reproductions of vintage photographs, as true to the originals as possible, for artists to use in their own mixed-media, collage, assemblage, and altered-photo artwork. ~*~ Click here to read my first post at the Camera Obscura blog to find out all the details.
