Portrait of a Young Woman with Portraits

A young woman in the sunlight, ensconced in a chair and surrounded by elements of family and home: a framed photo (her grandmother?), two framed silhouettes on the wall, lovely flowers, and an open book on her lap. A beautifully composed portrait. Date and location unknown.

The Crisis (Tom Kennelly)

This is one of those photos in which the back is more interesting than the front. In this case, the back is extremely interesting -- a mystery. Intrigue. Fodder for the imagination.

The front shows a young man standing in the woods. He is smiling. The front is stamped NOV 58.

The back, however, is the best part.

In handwritten pencil it says:

Tom
Kennelley
Nov. 24, 1958

The, under that, in blue ballpoint pen:

Jan 16, 19
The crisis  ["crisis" is a bit bungled, as if on the verge of misspelled; the line is crossed out]
The crisis
